The second meeting of the Mammography Trailblazer group took place in London on 12 September. The meeting was chaired by Lyndsay Kinnear of The Nightingale Centre (Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester). The group includes representatives from a wide range of employers and stakeholders, and in attendance at the meeting were practitioners and experts from St George’s University Hospitals, The Leeds Teaching Hospitals, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals, King’s College Hospital, Kingston & St George’s University of London and HEE.
The group have made good progress in developing the draft Apprenticeship Standard for the Mammography Associate role. The group also discussed the forthcoming consultation survey, implementation and end-point assessment.
