The Operating Department Practitioner Trailblazer is delighted to announce that the Degree Standard for Operating Department Practitioner has been approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships.

The Trailblazer group will continue its work in drafting the apprenticeship end point assessment plan prior to submission to the Institute for Apprenticeships. Once the assessment plan has been approved the apprenticeship will be ‘approved for delivery’.
Training providers and apprentice assessment organisations will then be able to begin the process of applying to register with the Education and Skills Funding Agency ready for implementation.
Further communications will follow once the Apprenticeship has been approved for delivery.
