Karen Swindley of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, Chaired the first meeting of the Trailblazer group developing the apprenticeship standard for Physician Associate on 24th July. The group, which will meet again in September, made excellent progress in drafting the standard.
With membership drawn from a range of employers, Health Education England, university providers and the Royal College of Physicians Faculty of Physician Associates the group is aiming to have a draft standard ready for wider consultation this autumn. Once the standard development is further progressed, the group will also develop the end point assessment plan.
