Clinical Associate in Psychology – Individuals in this role provide high quality, evidence based psychological interventions to inform practice, with formulations derived from specialist psychological measurement and assessment tools to work with populations across the lifespan from different backgrounds, cultures and beliefs. They work with specific populations and therefore provide a more proscribed range of activities than Clinical Psychologists.
Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) interact with adult patients in primary care, across a number of different services and variety of environments including being able to practice in diverse cultures. Psychological wellbeing practitioners (PWPs) are trained to assess and support people experiencing common mental health problems, principally anxiety disorders and depression, in the self-management of their recovery, via a range of low-intensity, evidence-based interventions, informed by underlying cognitive/behavioural principles.
Peer Workers work alongside other professionals in hospital, justice and community settings, providing peer support for individuals using knowledge gained from their own lived experience of health or social problems and/or using services. They work as part of a team to provide peer support in combination with the individuals’ service-led care and support plans.
