Following a review of the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP), changes have been announced, summary below:
- The register will re-open for applications on 12th December and will remain open throughout 2019
- Existing providers including employer-providers who are already on the register, will be required to reapply. The ESFA will be inviting providers to reapply in phases, over the next 12 months
- Following the review, the ESFA has made changes to strengthen the application process. All organisations wanting to access ESFA funding to deliver apprenticeship training must now be on the register, including subcontractors delivering less than £100k a year
- Levy-paying employers who are interested in delivering training to their own employees might wish to apply to the employer-provider route when the register opens
