Apprenticeship Standard for Arts Therapist – Standard published

10 December, 2018

The Arts Therapist Trailblazer is delighted to announce that the standard for Arts Therapist has been approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships.

The published standard can be found here.

The Trailblazer group is waiting to hear back about the apprenticeship end point assessment plan which was submitted to the Institute for Apprenticeships in November.

Once the assessment plan has been approved the apprenticeship will be ‘approved for delivery’.

“Getting to this stage of development of the Level 7 Arts Therapies Standard is an important further step towards widening access to training for Art, Drama and Music Therapists. Thanks to Skills for Health and all those on the Trailblazer group reflecting a wide range of arts therapies training and practice settings. Everyone has worked with real collaboration and we look forward to gaining End Point Assessment Approval and funding banding allocation.”

Further communications will follow once the apprenticeship standard has been approved for delivery.
