To bring the Nursing Associate apprenticeship standard in line with all the NMC regulated occupation apprenticeship standards, the reference to a % Off The Job Learning Time (OTJLT) has been removed from the End Point Assessment plan.
There is no need to state a minimum % as the OTJLT must align with the overriding requirements set out by the NMC for protected learning time for nursing associates. The training provider should record protected learning time as Planned Hours in the ILR ensuring that this figure at least meets the 20% minimum required in the apprenticeship funding rules.
