The proposed changes to the Standards of Proficiency were taken to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) meeting earlier in March for approval. Health Education England, the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education and Skills for Health are in discussions about how these changes will impact on the apprenticeship standards for all the occupations that are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council.
We will let you know once the final Standards of Proficiency have been published. At that point, we will also outline the proposed next steps in relation to the apprenticeship standards.
