The Senior Healthcare Support Worker Trailblazer Group are pleased to announce that they have opened a consultation on the draft Diagnostic Imaging Option part of the Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard.
Please note the purpose of this consultation is to gather feedback on the content of the Diagnostic Imaging Support option which is currently in draft. The core is not currently in review.
To give maximum opportunity for everyone to contribute, the consultation is available as an online survey here. This consultation opened on Wednesday 5th October and will close at 12pm on Wednesday 16th November.
Your feedback will be reviewed following the closing date and the Trailblazer will consider where amendments should be made. The Standard will then be submitted to the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) to seek approval.

“As Chair of the subgroup developing the Diagnostic Imaging Support option to be added to the Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard , I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the employers, SoR and HEE for the time invested in contributing to this work. I appreciate how busy everyone is, but your efforts and input are highly appreciated and valued. I have confidence that this standard/option will be a positive and much needed step forward in developing and supporting the Diagnostic Imaging Support workforce.
To ensure we develop content that fits the needs of all our support workers, I encourage everyone to contribute with their comments and suggestions to this draft and be a part of this very important process. I also encourage everyone to share this consultation with colleagues and thank everyone in advance for their contributions.“
