National Programme Manager – Apprenticeships

Kirsty is one of three national programme managers in the team, leading on the Skills for Life portfolio of support for maths, English & digital skills. The priorities of the portfolio are set, and regularly reviewed by, health & social care employers, to ensure they are delivering what the sector needs to support the workforce with these skills. It covers free access to market-leading functional skills software and exams, tailored maths support, a range of support for speakers of other languages (ESOL), multiple digital interventions and more.

Additionally, she is also heavily involved in apprenticeship development in the public health sector. Kirsty has worked for Health Education England for 8 years, as apprenticeship lead for South London before her current role. Before working for Health Education England, she worked in London on widening access and participation to the arts and heritage sector. She regularly liaises with government departments and sector bodies to explore further opportunities for the sector, building on collaborative working and maximize funding opportunities
