In light of the recently published Community Health and Wellbeing Worker apprenticeship standard, please see how this role could be the starting point for a career in public health.
The pathway has been mapped with the Community Health and Wellbeing Worker (Level 3) as the starting point, from which the individual can go on to a be a Public Health Practitioner (Level 6) and then Health and Care Intelligence Specialist (Level 7).
As with all apprenticeship career pathways, these can be step on, step off. An individual may not take all steps, or not all in a linear fashion, but the options are open to them.
