Further to the submission of a proposal to the Institute for Apprenticeships to develop a degree apprenticeship standard for Dietitian we are delighted to announce that the proposal has been approved.
An employer led Trailblazer group will now take forward the drafting of the Degree Apprenticeship Standard and accompanying end-point assessment plan. Once ready for wider consultation, an online survey will be available on our consultations page. Further communications are planned to let you know when the consultation is open.
Rosanna Hudson from the British Dietetic Association said:
“The BDA is delighted that the Expression of Interest has been approved. We are confident that this new approach will improve accessibility to the profession whilst maintaining the excellent standards of knowledge and skills required. We envisage that apprenticeships will offer a career pathway for talented dietetic support workers and enable employers to grow and develop the dietetic workforce, retaining staff and service provision. The BDA looks forward to supporting the Trailblazer Group.”
