Exploring the delivery of the Physiotherapist degree apprenticeship – Invitation to take part

7 November, 2024

Skills for Health are working with Charted Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) to help shape the future of the physiotherapy profession.

As part of the Professional Body Education Reform Commission, the CSP is working to ensure the future workforce is equipped with the right skills, in the right place, to deliver high-quality care. The CSP will take a comprehensive look at the supply and staffing of the physiotherapy profession – from apprenticeships and early career support to workforce planning.

The need

With the establishment of physiotherapy degree apprenticeships as a recognised way of training, there is now an opportunity to understand more to ensure delivery of high-quality education. Exploring the experiences and impact of this training offer for apprentices, employers, providers and patient care; within England, will allow for member interventions and resources to be designed to support sustainability of this approach to pre-registration training.

Like to take part?

On the 11th November Skills for Health will be launching a survey. They’ll explore how physiotherapy degree apprenticeships are delivered, implemented, and experienced to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations that support the sustainability and quality of this education model. Skills for Health are keen to make sure that they understand the views of physiotherapy degree apprentice mentors, line managers, or organisational apprentice managers.

We are also trying to reach as many apprentices as possible through both their organisations and the Universities in which they learn.
