The Healthcare Science Practitioner Trailblazer Group are pleased to announce that the revised version of this apprenticeship standard has now been agreed and allocated a maximum funding of £27,000.
The Level 6 Healthcare Science Practitioner apprenticeship standard has been in use for several years. In the meantime, the format of the standards and the requirements set by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE) have evolved.
Healthcare Science covers a vast range of specialist areas such as cardiology, clinical engineering, nuclear medicine, radiation protection and audiology. Healthcare Science Practitioners use expertise to deliver diagnostic or treatment procedures on patients, or quality assured tests or investigations on equipment. This is all underpinned by ‘good scientific practice’.
This revised version will replace the version 1.0 for new starts from 1 November 2024 with a funding band of £27,000.
