The Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship Standard was originally approved for delivery in 2018.
Since then, there have been changes to legislation and working practices in the pharmacy sector which mean that the content of the standard and the end-point assessment may not reflect all pharmacy assistant roles. Additionally, the format of the standards and the requirements set by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE) have evolved.
A Trailblazer Group has convened to refresh the standard and revise the End Point Assessment Plan (EPA) and bring them in line with current requirements. The aim is to complete this work during 2025.
The Pharmacy Services Assistant Trailblazer Group is pleased to announce that they have opened a consultation on the draft apprenticeship standard for the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant.
To give maximum opportunity for everyone to contribute, the consultation is available as an online survey here.
This consultation opened on Monday 31st March and will close on Friday 9th May 2025.
Your feedback will be reviewed following the closing date and the Trailblazer will consider where amendments should be made to the draft standard. The Standard will then be submitted to the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) to seek approval.
