Currently at a maximum of £5000, the funding band for the Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard is now in review. The Trailblazer has commenced the review process and is actively working with training providers to gather data that will be used to make a funding band recommendation to the Department for Education.
Nikki Morgan, Chair of the Senior HCSW Trailblazer, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust had the below to say about the apprenticeship:
“This is such an important apprenticeship in developing our support workforce, not only in ensuring we have a competent support workforce for today, but also in creating a talent pipeline for tomorrow as part of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan. Appropriate funding enables employers and providers to deliver quality training and assessment and I am delighted to be working with training provider and assessment colleagues in contributing to this funding band review.”
