The Midwife Trailblazer is delighted to announce that the apprenticeship standard for Midwife (NMC 2019) has been approved for delivery by the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education and allocated a maximum funding of £27,000.
However, starts on the apprenticeship will only be possible once a suitable end-point assessment organisation (EPAO) has given an ‘in principle’ commitment to the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to deliver assessments on this apprenticeship standard. Once the ‘in principle’ commitment has been approved by ESFA, funding for apprentice starts will be permitted.
The new standard and assessment plan have been developed by the trailblazer group to reflect the published Nursing and Midwifery Council 2019 Future Midwife Standards.
The approved standard and assessment plan can be found here.
