Nominations are now underway for Skills for Health’s 6th annual Our Health Heroes Awards, recognising those at the heart of our NHS, Health and Care sectors.
“Year after year, these national Awards highlight the thousands of apprentices and support workers, from all walks of life, all kinds of experiences and all four corners of the UK, who work tirelessly ‘behind the scenes’ to keep our NHS, Health and Care services running smoothly,” said John Rogers, chief executive, Skills for Health. “Without these people, the system simply couldn’t survive.”
Back for 2022 with partners Health Education England, NHS Employers, UNISON, SFJ Awards and Bevan Brittan, with eleven diverse categories, we encourage you to pay tribute to your colleagues who go the extra mile every day to perform a vital role in the delivery of patient care, by nominating them today.
“We are proud to once again be sponsoring the Our Health Heroes Breakthrough Apprentice and Exceptional NHS Operational Support Worker of the Year categories,” said Sara Gorton, head of health at UNISON. “In particular, the apprentice award highlights the up-and-coming stars of the future – stressing that apprenticeships are a vital route to healthcare careers, in both clinical and operational roles. It is very important now, with the NHS facing serious staffing shortages, that all routes into healthcare are highlighted and promoted.”
