In March and October last year, we shared news about the work that was taking place to review the L3 Diploma in Healthcare Support.
Awarding Organisations that offer the qualification have worked collaboratively during 2022, with the support of Skills for Health and the Trailblazer, to update the qualification and bring it in line with the revised Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard.
The collaborative completed its work at the end of 2022, having updated unit content and the qualification structure. Employers can be confident that the updated L3 Diploma in Healthcare Support will be closely aligned to the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard.
Each of the Awarding Organisations that participated in the collaboration is now busy preparing for launch of the updated qualification later in the Spring. Further announcements will be made once the launch date is confirmed.
