Following an initial survey in Summer 2020 in which we gathered early thoughts on the Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard, a refreshed employer group met on 2nd December. The group considered how it might take on board the recommendations from the survey.
The Senior Healthcare Support Worker standard includes 6 options:
- adult nursing support
- mental health support
- maternity support
- theatre support
- children and young people support
- allied health profession therapy support
Task and finish sub groups are planned to ensure that there is adequate representation across all of the options.
The group expects to meet again in the new year.
