The Level 4 Mammography Associate apprenticeship standard has been approved for delivery since 22nd August 2018.
Mammography Associates work within the breast imaging workforce undertaking routine two-view mammography (x-ray images of breasts). They work in a multi-disciplinary team within a hospital or in a community setting (e.g. mobile breast screening units, medical centres), undertaking mammography of individuals as part of a breast screening programme. They also undertake routine mammography on individuals with symptoms of breast disease.
There are currently 3 registered training providers for this standard.
From 1st August 2023, the Department for Education has merged RoATP (Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers) and RoEPAO (Register of End Point Assessment Organisations) and is now called APAR (Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register).
You access information about applying to the APAR as an apprenticeship training provider.
