The Department for Education has announced a package of measures aimed at encouraging more employers to start offering industry placements in readiness for the rollout of T Levels.
A key part of each T Level is the industry placement, where a student spends at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days) applying the skills and knowledge they learnt in the classroom in a real workplace. Although T Levels are not starting for 18 months, the Government is keen for businesses to start offering placements now, linked to existing courses, in readiness for the rollout of T Levels.
