The UCAS consultation on allocating tariff points to level 3 and SCQF level 6 apprenticeships is now open.
The first UCAS Tariff was introduced in 2001, initially for a narrow range of qualifications such as A Levels and SQA (Scottish Qualification Authority) Highers. Over time, the range of qualifications that attracted UCAS Tariff points expanded.
In March 2023, UCAS began a project to allocate UCAS Tariff points to UK Level 3 (and SCQF Level 6) apprenticeships. Following stakeholder engagement UCAS has developed a model for allocating Tariff points to apprenticeships. They are now seeking the views of the wider sector on this model.
The UCAS ‘public engagement document’ details how this model will work.
This consultation opened on Thursday, 23rd May and will close on Thursday, 20th June.
