Case Study of the week – First Occupational Therapy Apprentices complete at Solent NHS Trust

4 July, 2024

Solent NHS Trust are celebrating the completion of the first Occupational Therapy Apprentice cohort. They have spoken with Alison, Georgie and Laura who started their apprenticeship journeys in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and have risen to every challenge thereafter.

Alison Stovell said;

“The apprenticeship not only gives you the opportunity to increase your skills and knowledge in your chosen area, but also enables you to grow and develop as a person, which feels so empowering.”

Georgie Cook said;

“I would encourage anyone interested in progressing their careers to do an apprenticeship because there is a lot of support, there are no worries about training costs or how you will be paid”

Laura Ravenscroft said;

“The programme may seem dauting at first and throw in a fair share of challenges, but it offers great personal development, flexibility, engaging content, connection, varied clinical placements, peer learning, life-long friendships, networking, and unwavering support from the UWE team.”
