The first Trailblazer group meeting took place last Wednesday 4th October to work on developing the new degree apprenticeship standard for Prosthetist and Orthotist. The employer led group had around 20 employers from the NHS & Independent providers. We were also joined by University Colleagues and Professional bodies, notably, we also had patient representation in the room who provided valuable insight. The group is now in the process of agreeing a draft standard which it hopes to go out to consultation later in the autumn.
