14th October is Allied Health Professions (AHP) Day. AHPs are the third largest healthcare workforce, with significant opportunities to support delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan.
Following the recent publication of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan, this year’s theme is AHPs in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills. The theme has been suggested to highlight the synergy with one of the ‘enhanced foundations’ from the strategy AHPs Deliver .
AHPs’ Day is an annual opportunity for AHPs to come together and celebrate being part of the AHP family, and the day gives an opportunity to showcase to others the impact they make to the delivery of high quality care.
