The Trailblazer group, Chaired by Ann Carter from Essex Partnership University NHS Trust, has been busy working on the apprenticeship standard for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. The employer led group is joined by several university colleagues, NHS England and the British Psychological Society. Having now met several times, the drafting process is well underway and the standard is really starting to take shape. Plans are in place to share the standard more widely through a structured consultation later in the autumn before the standard is submitted to the Institute for Apprenticeships to seek approval. The apprenticeship, at level 6, will be an important development for the IAPTs workforce.
