Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) has recently published the End-point assessment guide for apprentices for 2024.
This guide is for apprentices and will help them find out what to expect from an Ofqual-regulated end-point assessment. EPA (end-point assessment) is an independent assessment at the final stage of the apprenticeship. It tests the knowledge, skills and behaviours that the apprentice has gained during the apprenticeship programme. Apprentices will not be able to achieve the apprenticeship without passing their EPA.
Some of the topics the guide covers includes:
- Roles and responsibilities
- Tips to help prepare for the EPA
- What to expect from the EPA
- Results, resits and retakes
