The Level 6 Biomedical Scientist apprenticeship standard was approved for delivery on 16th August 2023.
Any Higher Education Institution (HEI) wishing to offer this apprenticeship must register on APAR (Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register). Access information about applying to the APAR as an apprenticeship training provider.
This is a statutory integrated degree apprenticeship therefore the end-point assessment is carried out by the training provider, which in the case of Biomedical Scientist will be the HEI Access information about joining the APAR as an end-point assessment organisation here.
Please note that regardless of whether your organisation is registered to offer the Level 6 Healthcare Science Practitioner apprenticeship standard, you will still need to register separately with APAR for the Level 6 Biomedical Scientist.
