From 1st February – 31st March 2021, HEE are running a pilot project to fund access to functional skills exams, through awarding body Open Awards. It is free and available to all types of employer. Online invigilation can be carried out by Open Awards (other options available too) via a secure online platform compatible with your choice of software and assessments available 24/7. Open Awards manage the process, in partnership with the employer. The employer & Open Awards will work together to assess learner exam readiness and bksb resources can also be used to help to do this.
If you are interested, simply express interest by submitting an expression of interest (EOI) form by March 31st 2021. HEE is planning a longer term intervention for exam support after this pilot so don’t worry if you don’t think your learners will be ready by this date, still complete an EOI so they can know to keep in touch with you.
