Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship – Standard Review

15 April, 2024

The Level 6 Chartered Manager (Degree) Apprenticeship (CMDA) standard hasn’t been updated since its introduction in 2015. There has been a trigger to review sent to the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE), for this apprenticeship standard with immediate effect.

The Chartered Manager (Degree) Trailblazer Group have arranged a meeting on Tuesday 14th May 10am – 12pm, employer representatives are invited to attend this meeting.

This meeting will lay out an initial skeleton plan of the proposed activities and timeline for this process. It is hugely important to hear from a range of stakeholders through this process:

  • Employers (of all sizes and from all sectors) who do and don’t use the L6 route presently;
  • Former and current L6 CMDA apprentices;
  • Training Providers (TPs) and End Point Assessment organisations (EPAOs)
  • Affiliated professional bodies.

There will be a range of ways individuals can become involved: being part of the sub-groups developing the duties, knowledge, skills and behaviours required for this refresh. Additionally, they will also be looking for completion of surveys; attendance at roundtables for employers and apprentices as well as case studies.

Please email Jill Coyle with your interest in being involved and she will add your details to a calendar hold for the first call/capture your interest for further activities.
