National Numeracy have renamed the month of September “Checktember” to encourage everyone to check their confidence with numbers using the Challenge.
September is a time when staff are returning to work after summer breaks and some are thinking about career opportunities or starting new courses. As such, it presents a chance for staff to check, improve and learn. The campaign will provide a good hook for employers to talk about improving staff confidence with numbers and also give a call to action to register on the National Numeracy Challenge. The campaign will run throughout the entire month of September to give all employers a chance to get involved.
