Nursing Associate NMC 2018 – End Point Assessment Plan Updated

7 February, 2020

A revised Nursing Associate End Point Assessment has been published today which lifts the restriction on the End Point Assessment Organisation being an NMC approved organisation. This change will allow any suitable organisation to be on the ESFA Register of End Point Assessment Organisations for the Nursing Associate apprenticeship.

It will still be possible for NMC approved education institutions to manage the EPA for their own apprentices but would now also allow them to undertake End Point Assessment for other providers who do not wish to be the EPAO or allow EPAOs who are not NMC approved education institutions into the market.
