We are pleased to announce that employers submitted a proposal to the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education to develop a degree apprenticeship standard for Optometrist on 7th August 2019.
The proposal is being considered through the Institute’s normal processes and if approved it will mean that an employer led group can come together as a Trailblazer to develop the Apprenticeship Standard and accompanying End-Point Assessment Plan. University providers, the General Optical Council and other stakeholder bodies will also contribute to the development.
Further communications are planned to let you know more details about next steps and how you can contribute when the outcome of the proposal is known.
