In July 2022 the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) published new standards of proficiency for the occupations they statutorily regulate. As the apprenticeship standards for these occupations are based on the HCPC standards these must also be reviewed.
The Prosthetist and Orthotist Trailblazer Group are therefore pleased to announce that they have opened a consultation on the draft apprenticeship standard for the Prosthetist and Orthotist (Degree) (HCPC 2022).
To give maximum opportunity for everyone to contribute, the consultation is available as an online survey here. This consultation opened on Friday 7th October and will close at 12pm on Friday, 21st October.
Your feedback will be reviewed following the closing date and the Trailblazer will consider where amendments should be made to the draft standards. The Standards will then be submitted to the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) to seek approval.
