Review of the mandatory qualification for Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprentices

27 October, 2022

Back in March 2022, we shared news that awarding organisations had commenced a review of the L3 Diploma in Healthcare Support. This is the qualification that is mandatory for all Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprentices.

The need for the review came on the back of the revisions to the Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard.

Awarding organisations have been working hard over the summer months to ensure that the content and structure of L3 Diploma continues to align well with the revised apprenticeship standard. The review of the qualification is now nearing completion. Before the revised qualification is accredited, awarding organisations are keen to engage with their customers to confirm that the qualification is fit for purpose.

If you have experience of using the L3 Diploma in Healthcare Support and would like to discuss the changes that are due to come into effect in early 2023, please do reach out to your chosen awarding organisation before 14th November.
