In response to the consultation on the draft Specialist Clinical Practitioner apprenticeship standard the trailblazer group is planning to request a change to the occupation title.
The proposed new title is Enhanced Clinical Practitioner.
The trailblazer group feel that this change will align the standard to the Health Education Enhanced Practice report which describes a level of practice, rather than a “specialism” which can apply to a wide range of levels.
When the standard is submitted in the new year this amendment will be evidenced for consideration by IFATE.
