2 SLT teams delivered by small- to medium-sized organisations (with fewer than 50 employees) are being sought to join the SLT apprenticeship trailblazer group.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the development of an SLT degree apprenticeship and ensure it meets the needs of SLT private practices as well as large NHS Trusts.
The role of the trailblazer group is to develop a degree level apprenticeship standard specifically for Speech and Language Therapist – there can only be one of these so it is vital that it works for all types of SLT settings. Work is likely to start around the turn of the year with occasional virtual discussion during early autumn. Funding for travel expenses to trailblazer meetings is available from the Institute for Apprenticeships for small employers.
