Spotlight on EPAOs – Senior People Professional

5 October, 2023

The apprenticeship standard for Senior People Professional has been approved for delivery since 7th January 2021.

An employee in this occupation will be responsible for applying their knowledge and expertise to lead the design, implementation and evaluation of people policies and practices aligned to the needs of the organisation and its employees. They will be responsible for leading people projects and/or playing a key role in larger organisation-wide programmes, managing their own work with a high level of autonomy.

As part of their apprenticeship, apprentices will have to complete an end point assessment. There are currently 3 End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAO) registered to assess Senior People Professional apprentices.

From 1st August 2023, the Department for Education has merged RoATP (Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers) and RoEPAO (Register of End Point Assessment Organisations) and is now called APAR (Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register).

You access information about joining the APAR as an end-point assessment organisation here.
