The Standard and Assessment plan for the following apprenticeship standards have now been published by the Institute of Apprenticeships and Technical Education.
- Community Nurse Specialist Practice (NMC 2022) – ST0709
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (NMC 2022). – ST0697
Please note that the these apprenticeship standards will not be ‘approved for delivery’ until the final funding band is allocated by the Secretary of State.
These apprenticeship standards align to the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) Standards of proficiency for specialist community public health nurses (SCPHN) and the Standards of proficiency for community nursing specialist practice qualifications (SPQ) which were published in July 2022.
The current versions of the standards for Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (ST0697) and District Nurse (ST0709) will be withdrawn for new starts on 31st August 2024.
