Health Education England (HEE) commissioned Middlesex University in partnership with the Open University (OU), University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) and Credit Works to establish parity for non-traditional level 3 access and progression to higher education (HE) within the healthcare sector.
The outcomes of this project will be discussed. The National Progression Agreement and associated toolkits will be shared. These documents are designed to aid you in working with Higher Education Providers to ensure progression is available for individuals who have completed the Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard.
Plans to expand on this work in opening up progression for individuals who have gone through non-traditional academic routes of education will also be discussed.
